As my 10th FA slowly approaches...

I currently have "written" 8 featured articles. That's a lot. The article I'm currently working on, Diorama (album), will (hopefully!) soon by my ninth, having recently passed GA.

So, what's the plan for #10? I'm currently tossing up between a few options...

-Age of Empires - The title of my first edit (though that page has since been moved, something I've long disagreed, but whatever).
-Music of Australia - Something I've been contemplating writing for a long time, but just haven't had the guts to tackle...
-Brisbane - Because so many people have put so much effort into it, and it's still not GA...it deserves the effort.
-Or something else...

In any case, I'm certain it won't be an article about an "important real world topic", or a core topic, or anything like that. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I hope. After all, people use Wikipedia for information that isn't about George W. Bush, Australia, or Sex (though these are some more common uses!).

So, any other suggestions on what to do for FA #10?

I don't get how you can write so many featured articles, when I struggle even writing one Did you know candidate. I am proud however that I wrote my only GA, Moberly-Jourdain incident entirely from scratch on my own (oh and guess who passed it!) I would like another GA, or even a FA but it's hard work that I'm not willing to put it.

My first FA candidate recently wasn't promoted at FAC. I'm not sure why, as there were no supports or opposes, but...

By the way, what's the shortest FA you know of? All the FAs I read are extremely long, but when my short article was listed at FAC and I noted that it was comprehensive despite its short length. no one mentioned it again. That's a bit strange.

Majorly: Thanks :) It's all about...well, I dunno. Probably the secret lies in begging for peer reviews.

Nousernamesleft: Generally they only pass if they have a few supports (usually 3 are needed) and no opposition that hasn't been dealt with (or replied to). Gimme a yell next time you're there and I'll take a look. As for the shortest...I imagine some of mine could be! Certainly [[Bernard Fanning]] and [[I Don't Remember]] aren't beasts of articles...

Sure; I'll drop you a note next time it's up. A GA that I "wrote", Donegal fiddle tradition became an FA in early 2004 in extremely terrible condition (one paragraph of text, nothing else) but it doesn't count since it was promptly FAR(C)ed later that year.

I like your articles because I'm almost guaranteed to be introduced to things completely unknown. If you're going to write an FA about a video game, why not make it one that I actually play like BF2142?

Because then I'd have to write about something unknown to me. And that's not how I work!

Anyways, Riana and me (*says while only coughing a bit*) started working on Music of Australia. It's gonna be huge by the time I'm (erm..we're) done with it - brace yourself, Laser brain (and other FAC reviewers)!
